Known for public artworks that incorporate the use of shadows to allude to the history of an area, Stone’s artworks are located throughout Southern California.  Ranging from a block-long building in the fashion District of Los Angeles to a park at the top of Signal Hill, the entrance to City Hall in Manhattan Beach, a building lobby located on Pine Avenue in Long Beach, to his well known project, Shadows Casting on the Shore, that is literally “street art” where images of shadows extend from the parking meters, on the sidewalks and up some of the walls on Second Street in Belmont Shore.

His most recent project is entitled: Image Emergence: Promenade of Clouds and consists of the design of a plaza that includes five large sculptures that cast images on the plaza surface that appear and then disappear depending upon the weather conditions located at the Long Beach Promenade.
