Dorte Christjansen, born in Copenhagen, Denmark, moved to Canada when she was six, eventually ending up in Southern California where she attended high school and college. She received her BA in Drawing and Painting and her MA in Illustration from CSU Long Beach. After completing her credential she taught art at Santiago High School in Garden Grove and later art education, watercolor and illustration at CSU Fullerton. Her watercolors and batiks have been published in books and magazines and she has participated in numerous group and solo exhibits at local, state and national levels.
